THE LOCATION

The ohana is located on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island. This is a lovely quiet place to visit. This region is considered to be desert. We average only 14 inches of rain per year. During our "rainy" season (August-November) our brown grass turns green. Most of the time, it is a dry, desert climate with consistent, sunny days of 84 degrees.

The Kohala Coast of the Big Island is considered to have the best beaches like Hapuna, Mau'umai, Puako, Wailea Bay, or Mauna Kea.

AQUATIC LIFE

The Island of Hawaii is host to hundreds of Humpback Whales during their annual migration which takes place from December - March. The females give birth in our warm Hawaiian waters, raise the babies to traveling size, and migrate back to Alaska!

We are also home to pods of Spinner Dolphins and Manta Rays. An excursion not to be missed is the Manta Ray Night Snorkel which gives you the chance to see these magnificent sea creatures feed on plankton up close and personal.
